A little bit about me and how The Balloon Boutique came to be:
My name is Felicia, I'm a work at home mom with a very supportive husband and a baby girl due in Nov 08. When my son was born in 1997 I wanted to start a business of my own. I started off networking party supplies out of my downtown apartment in 1998, after a while I learned a lot of cool things I could create with balloons and I decided I wanted to start a business around balloons.
In August of 1999, I created The Balloon Boutique and stopped selling party supplies to devote my time to learning the craft of balloon decor and my family. Now almost 10 years later, I have regular customers, corporate and non-profit clients that call me to do their balloon decor on a regular basis. I still work out of my home, but I am now moving out of Ohio to Michigan where I plan to rebuild.
Working out of my home I can devote time to my family and still have time for my business and myself. Creating balloon decor has become a passion and not just a business to make money. I enjoy surprising my clients with what I can do and the Oooos and Ahhhs that my decor receives. I use only the best balloons available Mfd by Qualatex of Pioneer Balloons. The three toys (equipment) of my trade include Conwin's Duplicator 2, Precision Air, and the Dual Split Second Sizer, to guarantee that each balloon is perfectly sized, so that my creations are the best they can be.
Creating quality balloon decor is not cheap and takes constant training in the field to keep up with the new designs and technics of the time. However if you look at my prices and compare them to other local professional balloon decor businesses (not your everyday corner party shop) you will find that my prices, for the most part, are lower than most. I can do this because my overhead is lower due to working out of my home. I have also built my business without taking loans from a bank, so I don't have large loan payments with interest that I have to pass on to the consumer. Do you enjoy this website? I built it too. My prices are very fair for the quality of work I do. I am a hands on owner who enjoys being a perfectionist in my trade. All the people that work with me know how particular I am about each and every job I do.
